The Heart of Japan: Kyoto, 4 Days/3 Nights

Day 1: Kyoto
Arrival at Kansai/Itami Airport and travel to your choice of premium hotel in Kyoto or Japanese Ryokan. Evening is at leisure to discover the fantastic food and drink on offer in your local area.

Day 2: Kyoto
Today, explore the beautiful, quaint and historical sights of Japan’s traditional capital. You will first visit Nijo Castle, a prominent castle commissioned by the first shogun of Japan, Tokugawa Ieyasu. Your second stop is the postcard perfect Kinkaku-ji Temple (the Golden Pavilion). Your day out will also take you through Kiyomizu temple, Ryoanji, Ninenzaka shopping street and return you to your selected accommodation.

Day 3: Nara
After having explored the marvelous city of Kyoto, explore Nara, Japan’s first major capital through the periods of AD 710 and AD 794. Here, you will gaze upon one of the largest bronze statues in the world housed in Todai-ji. To experience something unique, head over to Nara park, where deer line up to be fed and petted. After your time at Nara park, transfer back to your accommodation in Kyoto.

Day 4: Farewell, Kyoto.
Get a little bit of last minute exploration in, or perhaps relax and enjoy the diverse environment of your hotel or ryokan before you check out of your accommodation. Once you are ready, you will transfer to your next destination!
